Best Friends is the tale of an intense childhood BFF-ship sinking. Runk's artwork is done in soft watercolor washes, eroding any trace of hard feelings and leaving the sentiment sediment as the story's heart and soul. The work leaves me with a similar feeling to reading a C.Tyler story - that midsummer melancholy of something trying to blossom.
