Alabaster's new comic is so smart and so pretty, I love it in the way that I love Moomins. The story is about a forthright cateyed animal, Mimi, and her dream-guided encounters with an undomestic scene of beasts and goddesses.  The drawings are tremendous- clear and emotional- and although the design is outright adorable, the story never shies away from tension or conflict.
