Conditions on the Ground #3 Jul
32p, b&w, 5.5"x8.5"
There is a scene of a porch sitting experience in this issue that I think acts as a summary for some cool things about Hooyman's comics: the drawing feels warm and wild - the time of day is at some sort of pinnacle: perfect hot afternoon or mystery twilight or midnight ramblin'. Varmints of all stripes are stirring about and the blades of grass are like manifestations of the ideas whirring around inside your brain. Conditions on the Ground is rich and playful with a touch of unknown danger. -EF
