In Katey's words: In Anger and in Grief: Industrial Logging on the Shores of the Salish Sea is a zine created in response to the state of logging on private land around the Hood Canal. It is part grief essay, part historical framework for logging in the Northwest, part outline of clearcut-style logging practices and the destruction these practices cause. This zine was created as part of The Word for World is Forest, a group art show addressing aerial spraying and industrial logging in Kitsap and Jefferson counties. Proceeds from the first run of this zine were used to raise money for the scholarship fund for Democracy School, a program led by the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund and sponsored by the Kitsap Environmental Coalition in September 2019. Second run was printed in October 2019.
