In Julia's words:
Sometimes you just black out and listen to the same Stone Sour album on repeat for a week because you have weird unresolved emotional issues after moving cross-country to get away from your soon-to-be-ex-spouse and it's easier to process the same dozen and a half butt rock songs on repeat until your brain melts and falls out than to deal with the fact that you have a shoulder/neck cramp that hasn't unclenched in almost a full ass year cuz you're so distressed and y'know, it's easier to process how badly a record label fucked up the promotion of this album that came out 14 years ago than to process the tire fire that is your own life. And then write a zine about it.
Suffer, aka Some Shit About Stone Sour, aka the 1996 demo is the album I cried to most in 2019, aka All I Ever Wanted Was Trauma Bangers & Yelling, aka an exercise in how when things get super bad it's sometimes just your unexpected faves that catch you & this is why I'm on ebay at three in the morning staring at some of the ugliest tour merch ever imagined cuz it's the only thing that takes my mind off just how bad life gets.
