Heartbreak For Beginners
by Laura Terry
Two lanky interior conversations on imaginary decandence, the first a barely three-way discussion about last meals and the second a mind escape on an insomniatic walk in the park. The heartbreak doesn't quite surface, and the emo poignancy of the title certainly isn't what this comic is about, but it is doing some nice story motions and subtle culture remixing. It's sort of a reimagining of Scooby Doo's Fred and Daphne feeling it out as uncertainly and impossibly platonic youths sans Mystery Incorporated. -EF
