Fiffe's Zegas tracks a mental apocalypse as it eclipses everyday indignities. The brushy sketch poetics and sci fi twistiness remind me a bit of Bernie McGovern's Army of Lovers series, punctuated with gem-toned bursts of color. The Zegas storyline is the meat of the issue but there's space for some solid shorter work too- a clownier story of drug hijinx and some landlord mayhem.
