This collection of Clowes-related addenda should stand alone, but instead gets padded out with a complete reprinting of Ghost World that suffers from utterly useless annotations (insipid notes explaining the meaning and context of Homer Simpson, the phrase "Hubba Hubba" and Sonic Youth seem to be written for the benefit of today's toddler who has yet to be fitted for a smart phone). If I can calm my petty fury at this, I may be able to make it through the meat of the book - essays, appreciations and interviews that focus heavily on Clowes and adolescent processes. -EF
