Ward's covers always draw me in with their science fiction meltdown sensibility - the comics inside are a different flavor though - much more restrained, social dramas with strong Tomine/Huizenga influences blended with sinister forces leaking in around the edges. The weird is here, but I think I'm always surprised that Ward never quite lets it destroy the clean Box Brown-y linework. -EF
