Long before the days of text messages and Snapchat there was CB Radio. During the late '70s and early '80s, long haul truckers, hobbyists and business owners would use it to communicate warnings, create community and just simply thwart boredom during monotonous work.

This exploding fad brought about a new phenomenon - 73s, salutation cards from one user or "handle" to another. This radtastic zine explores this oft-forgotten means of communication through the lens of some of these 73 cards, all from the state of Washington. Take a gander at handmade cards featuring illustrations of buxom ladies, mythical characters, chugging tractor trailers and more. Features a thoughtful essay from the author and interview with famed 73 illustrator Runnin Bare. -NY
