As per the publisher: Transvestia Issue 9: Queering the Media is all about how even though there is a severe lack of proper queer/trans representation in mainstream media, we still find some. We also create our own whether literally or though canons and fanfiction. We often see ourselves reflected in the pages of the books we read, but rarely the trans/nonbinary/queer part of who we are. This issue explores our relationship with queer media, how far we’ve come, and personal experiences relating to non-queer media in a very queer way.
