The Hotel tells the story of my experience with Stage III colon cancer. It is a comic memoir about my initial hospitalization and emergency surgery in 2004 to remove a 2" tumor from my large intestine. The Hotel depicts my experiences with nurses, doctors, roommates, friends, family, and intense drugs. Over the course of six very confusing days and nights, I gained insight into the broad spectrum of experiences we, as hospital patients, endure. In a morphine induced haze, and the craziness of it all, I survived.
