I thought that some of the later strips in vols. 3 and 4, written by Tove's brother Lars, were a bit stiffer than the hapless charms of the stories Tove wrote in the first two reprint volumes. Volume 5 continues with Lars writing and Tove drawing, but the plots make a nice jump to the embrace the freewheeling nature of the earlier strips, making this one of the best volumes in the collection. Hooray! Not a Hippo! -EF
