Whoa - white suburban teenage sexual angst, drug-adled insectoid-fungal-lichen mutations and disguises, dark swampy yards of noir - looks like this book went through a Black Hole or two on its way here from France. It doesn't come off as cheap re-hash though- King of the Flies has it's own harrowing story and tone and has a great drawing of the early Stones in the back seat of the Fly King's sedan to boot. The cinematic drawing and expository telling may have you feeling the Burns, but really only in the most satisfying way.
