“Zine, Lose, or Draw!” is CZF’s own take on beloved gameshow “Win, Lose, or Draw!” Teams will compete in this Pictionary-style game with a self-publishing theme. Be a part of the action by joining a team or cheer from the audience. Fun for everyone!

 

“Zine, Lose, or Draw!” will be hosted by Quimby’s very own Neil Brideau, co-organizr of Chicago Alternative Comics Expo (CAKE) and creator of Oh Boy! Comics.

 

“Zine, Lose, or Draw!” is a part of Chicago Zine Fest 2013 taking place March 8-9 at various Chicago locations. CZF is an independent event creating an outlet for small press and independent publishers to showcase their work.

Hey zinesters! Come to our Zine Slumber Party (Zlumber Party, geddit? Gosh we’re clever.) This is the second year in a row we’re inviting you to come in and spend the night with us working on your zine, because we had so much fun doing it last year. The store closes at 10pm on Sat the 19th and then you’re invited to spend the night here. So bring yer jammies and a sleeping bag, then leave in the morning with the zine you worked on. Interested in attending? Be sure to shoot a regular ol’ e-mail our way at info(at)quimbys(dot)com or call us at 773-342-0910 so we can have a head count.

Middle Coast Zine Fest {MCZF} Dec 8th and 9th at Galerie F

MCZF is a two-day gathering of artists featuring well-crafted zines inspired by art, music, and graffiti & street art. Middle Coast aspires to engage dialogue, writing, photography and other artwork through beautifully designed and independently published zines. Featuring work from local artists, Oscar Fotoflow and Loosey Goosey. Enter to win awesome raffle prizes from Saki and Quimby’s Bookstore while sipping on delicious Gaslight coffee! Free and open to the public.
